The book presents a historical perspective of the region in the twentieth century, deals with the concept of the coast and names, and includes a historical overview of life in the region, its socio-economic structure, and its general conditions in the 1930s and 1940s, and about culture, education, health, local politics, and relations with the British administration.
It deals with the demographics of the region in the early part of the last century, the route of camel caravans between Abu Dhabi and the Qatar Peninsula, the lives of the citizens of the Trucial Coast in India, their cultural councils, their influence, the Trucial Power of Oman, Zanzibar and its trade relations with the peoples of the coast, locust control operations, and the beginnings of radio broadcasting in the region.
On "Sawt Al Sahel" radio and radio stations directed international organizations that were targeting the region at that time, and its political roles, and its contribution to bringing about social changes in general, and literary and cultural changes in particular.
